We are a compact team of producers, stylists and technical directors who believe an event is a message, not just a party.

Our Story

From one borrowed ballroom to 240 events

Lumira Events opened in 2017 with a single client, a borrowed ballroom in Bangsar and a conviction that Malaysian companies deserved event partners who thought like strategists. Founder Amira Hashim had spent a decade producing regional conferences for multinationals and kept seeing the same gap: agencies that could decorate, but could not answer the question “what is this event actually for?”

Nine years later the studio has delivered more than 240 projects — from forty-person leadership retreats in Langkawi to three-thousand-guest product showcases in Putrajaya. The team has grown, the question has not changed.

How We Work

Three principles we refuse to bend

Outcome before aesthetics

Every creative decision is tested against the result you hired us for. If a gorgeous idea does not serve the goal, it does not make the deck. This discipline is why our corporate clients keep coming back — the event does a job, and it does it beautifully.

One producer, full accountability

You will never be passed between account managers. A single senior producer owns your project from the first call to the post-event report, backed by the whole studio. When you message us at 9pm, the person replying already knows every detail.

Honest numbers, always

We share vendor quotations as they arrive and mark our management fee as a separate line. No padded invoices, no mystery costs. It occasionally means a smaller margin for us; it always means a longer relationship with you.

Plan B is part of Plan A

Malaysian weather, traffic and AV equipment all have opinions of their own. Every run sheet we write carries contingencies for its critical moments, and our technical crew rehearses them. Calm on the day is designed, not lucky.

The Process

From first call to final invoice

  • Discover — a strategy session to define the outcome, audience and budget envelope.
  • Design — concept, styling direction and a costed proposal within ten working days.
  • Build — vendor contracting, production schedules, menu tastings and rehearsals.
  • Deliver — full on-site management with a dedicated show-caller and crew.
  • Debrief — reconciled budget, guest feedback summary and honest lessons learned.
